Hi, We have an ADR in August at 8.30 and was wondering what the viewing area is like for wishes.
Is there seating in the viewing area or is it just like an empty balcony?
We only plan on having 2 courses. so hope to be finished just in time for wishes. Do you think 8 30 is about right?
Also one of the adults has a medical problem and can only eat very small portions. Do you think they would allow her to have a starter served with our mains only?
An photo's would be great.

to be honest we didnt leave the table to go to the veiwing area,we stayed at the table and had a wonderfull veiw even though we wernt at the window we were i table in from the window.when wishes starts everything stops more or less in the restaurant, the lights dim and the music is piped in to the restaurant it isnt necessary to go to the veiwing area.there will be no problem with asking for just a starter etc, they are very accomadating. mo.

it's an empty balcony you just stand next to the rails.
Take your time with your meal they are happy for you to leave the table when the fireworks start and come back to finish. We did this on Christmas eve and no one had cleared our table. You might want to mention to your server that you are going out there.
They are very good at serving what you need when you need it.

It depends on where you are seated. We were put in the room at the back overlooking Bay Lake so we had to go out onto the balcony.
A word of advice if you do go out onto the balcony - walk all the way to the end. We found that a lot of people congregated just outside the restaurant door but the far end was a lot less crowded and more enjoyable.

Thanks for the replies
Does the music get piped into the balcony as well? Can you see the castle from this restaurant?
Thanks

Hi there, i have only been to the california grill once, we were in the room at the back looking out to the sevenseas lagoon or bay lake, we actually got to see Epcot fireworks from there, the waiter asked if we were going out to see the fireworks, so he told us after we had finished our starter to wait for a bell or announcememnt to go out to the balcony, then on return our mains would be served,, was very good, he replenished our drinks too,, and the music is piped through the balcony,, very very nice and you get to hear whats said as most of the time infront of the castle i find it hard to hear the loudspeakers,,
Very nice experiance,, and your almost side on with the castle so you see most of the fire works to the right / behind it.
