Hi, I know there are a few threads about crocs but just need advice.

Is it better to wait until we go in July to buy the crocs from florida, never worn them before but they seem to have a good write up, dont really want to wear trainers all day as we go in July but dont really like flip flops, thought crocs would be the better alternative.

Would like my DD who will be 6 to wear some, just found what the disney ones look like on taylors website(so cute),
not sure if ds who will be 12 and dh will wear them but you never know.

Are they any cheaper in Florida?
thanks
:)

Yes much cheaper to get them in Florida and they sell Disneu ones for adults too as I got a pair.

My 2 dd aged 4 and 6 loved them and are looking forward to getting new ones when we go in Sep.

You could always try a pair of the Primark ones (£3) before you go to see if you like them - then get the real ones out there.

And remember to look for jibbitz to decorate them - they do boys (skulls, cars etc) as well as girlie ones!

If you fly into Orlando International there's a big Crocs shop, and they sell every type going. Check it out. Don't buy fake ones, waste of money.

Generally, you'll pay $29.99 for Crocs in Orlando, although the Disney ones are a little dearer at $32.99 :)

You'll pay a lot less for Crocs over there but last year we had trouble finding anywhere with stock. I tried in vain to find some for my Mum and every shop we tried was very low on stock. I don't know if it was a temporary supply problem but I came home empty handed :(

I looked at taylors shoes and the disney crocs for dd were $32.99 so mite order them from there before we go, I mite buy myself some before as well to test them out!

Silly question but do men tend to wear them? I only ask as my DH looked at them and just made that look!! (not wearing them) i got same reaction from DS who is 12. We will look like the croc family if we all wear them but never really needed very comfy shoes before. :d:

Any advice on where to buy them beforehand will be great, if cheap enough I may buy them all before we go.

Thanks :)

Hi,

My sis got some from Costco yesterday - didn't have a good range of colours, but had quite a few in stock. They were around £30 I think...

Well I'm definitely a man and I hate Black or Brown . . . so I've got a lovely Turquoise pair :spin: They're great with jeans and shorts and are the most comfortable shoes that I've owned. Make sure you buy proper Crocs and NOT the fakes . . the materials used are not the same quality.

Men wearing them doesn't have any street cred . . my son wouldn't be seen dead in them . . but I also wear my Disney hoodie, so I don't give a hoot ;) :pgig: :pgig: :pgig:

I ordered the Disney ones from Taylor's and they were $34 which is about £17. Delivery was ok and at least my DD's have got the ones they want before we go.

I also ordered Mary Jane's from Crowneys with 15% discount, but they have a lot of delivery problems at the mo and some people ended up getting refunds. Mine did arrive but took approx 4 weeks.

We had trouble finding them last year in Florida the only place we found them was at Orlando International Airport in the Crocs shop. I love the Mary Jane style and they were much harder to find in Florida but much cheaper when we did.

They are much cheaper in Orlando, there is a shop at the airport, or you can get Disney ones in the Disney store in downtown disney.

I wouldnt get the 'fake' ones, they are just not the same.

The only other place you could look in the UK and if you have a Costco card is Costco as they had some in the Manchester store last week and they were not far off the US prices.

Hi Wendy,

I would really recommend 'try before you buy'. We have always bought our Crocs (DH too!) out there, often from the Crocs shop at MCO, Dillards, the store at Universal's City Walk and Journeys, but sometimes the sizes vary quite a bit!!

We have brought several pairs back for family before and its such a shame when they don't fit!

I would also add that the stores out there don't do that many different 'styles', so if you are going with a certain shoe in mind... you might be disappointed! We often order ours on line before we go out there, if we want a specific style - I've got my eyes on the new fabric capris........ they are lovely!!!!

Internet sites: The crocs store, Taylors shoes, Shoe Buy are all OK and stock a good selection of styles.

I have worn Crocs the last few times I have been to Disney and would not wear anything else.
My Db would not wear crocs and bought other shoes to wear even though I said Crocs would be better. 3 days into the holiday he realised I was right and the other shoes were rubbing him. We both ended up with Disney Crocs. haha
We found them alot cheaper over in Florida than here.

I will look at those sites.

Would prefer to get them from a UK site as I dont want to have to pay any customs charges.

I bought a pair over here last summer and paid about £30.00.

I was in Florida in December and bought a pair of Disney Mary Jane Crocs and they only cost about $28.00 - buy them over there - they have a better range, especially for kids.

I bought my crocs in disney whilst on honeymoon last year, i looked everywhere for a pair of non-disney ones first but you can't find anything non-disney in disney so i bought ones with mickey on them and love them, they are soooo comfy and its great coz not many people have the disney ones over here so they look different. for the hol alone the boys may wear them and they are worth it, try something like the corona ones or maybe army style for hubby, mine would of bought some but he didn't fancy the ears in them! and as i said disney only do disney so may need to purchase before you go, happy shopping. jayne x

How much would you normally pay in the US for kids crocs please? I'm not sure whether to get some over here to save the hassle once we get there but I also love a bargain:)
