Hi can anyone recommend a nice restuarant for a meal after a small wedding ceremony on I Drive. We are a party of 6 adults and 2 children.  ;)

Hi Kathleen

I got married in Florida in 2001 and we had our meal at Ming Court, which is a chinese/cantonese/sushi place on I-drive and we went to Bahama Breeze just opposite a little, for some fab cocktails afterwards. Superb day. :spin: :spin: :spin:

Have a look if you like chinese...it was lovely.

What about Texas de Brazil?

We have yet to try it but if you are meat eaters it looks just the place.

And if you register before hand they send you a 2 4 1 or 50% off coupon. may be worth saying it's actually your wedding day and they may give you a discount.

Yes, it is at the top end of I-Drive, when you've gone around the big left hand bend, on the left at the front of the designer outlet mall (before prime outlets).

We saw a wedding group having a meal in Bahama Breeze - they made a real fuss of them. Super cocktails too!
Depends on whether you want formal or fun?

What about Season's 52 (http://www.seasons52.com/) on Sand Lake (about 10 minutes from I-drive...if that)? I planned a wedding dinner for someone there last year. They were really pleased with it.

If you want something different you could go to the Melting Pot (http://www.meltingpot.com/) which the kids would probably enjoy. The chocolate fondue is brilliant!!

If you want something on the fancier side you could go to Ruths Chris (http://www.ruthschris.com/home.html) which is a really nice restaurant which is also on Sand Lake.

If you want something with a bit of entertainment you could go to Bergamo's (http://www.bergamos.com/) where they have a piano playing and the staff sing showtunes. They really make a fuss out of special event tables! Bergamo's is located at Festival Bay at the end of I-drive (opposite of Texas DeBrazil which was also a good recommendation).

If you want to plan something 'extra' and aren't sure what to do or how to go about it pm me and I'm happy to help. I do a bit of event planning on the side and would be happy to pass on anything I can to you.

Thanks a lot for all your help. We like the sound of Bahama Breeze and the melting pot. Does any one know if we would have to make reservations well in advance or would a week before the big day be ok? :wiggle:
