Hi all,

My mum is a coeliac, which means sticking to a gluten free diet. Has anyone had any experience of this in Orlando? Don't know if we need to buy gluten free stuff and take it out :confused2, or if we will be able to buy it out there. :D

Also would be good to know if restaurants will have heard of it too.

thanks

Carol

Several friends and family friends are coeliacs so I understand how important it is to keep to a gluten free diet. Here is a page from allearsnet.com which may help.

I'd love to hear what you think about the gluten free food available when you get back off your holiday.

We will be visiting on December and I have coeliacs too (as well as being diabetic for good measure!). I've always taken biscuits and things with me in the past but always seem to end up with a bag full of crumbs by the time we get there!!

The page on allearsnet is really good and there seems to be loads of choices - I guess I'm just used to the negative reaction from resturants in the UK and won't believe it until I see it......

No Problem clared

I know whenever we eat here my mum nearly always seems to end up with a baked potato or something else really bland, so it is refreshing to see places that are geared up (or have even heard of it !!, lol)

Both Hubby and Son need Gluten and Dairy free food (son egg free as well). Publix supermarket have a section that does sell specialist food i.e. egg, gluten and dairy free waffles, soy milk etc. Hubby managed to find something to eat at various restaurants (Outback, Sweet Tomatoes, Dennys) but it did help that we could buy stuff to eat in. If you like gluten free bread take it with you as we have not found any out there that we like. Good luck
