virgin deposit

I have spoken to virgin this morning about a holiday we want to book for October next year, (St Lucia) I have been told we need to pay £480 deposit, £120 each.
I was just wondering if anyone had managed to get virgin to reduce this amount, We have got about half that. I really wanted to book it now as the preview price runs out in 4 weeks.. :(

I managed it for October 2009 got it for 100 pounds for the two of us and could have been paid by cheque but i think the manager was in a happy mood. If you dont ask you dont get!

We were told we had to pay in Full by Virgin for late sept, However we found a great company who use Virgin and can match or better them.

Sorry no disrespect jcjcjc but I don't think I would phone a random number and possibly part with cash when there are no details as to what company etc this is, and therefore no way of checking that they are legitimate. I'm sure they probably are fine as you have used them, but can't help thinking that this sort of info would be better in a pm as obviously in fairness to the advertisers on here you are unable to post more details.

I wouldnt use just anybody as i recently checked out another company on here before i found this cracking deal with this lady who works as part of the co-op travel company and is abta bonded of course.
