The last few visits to Orlando I've notice a lot of American ladies, in the waterparks, wearing what looks like a tankini but the bottoms have a skirt attached.

I think they look quite flattering on the larger lady, particularly if you are like me and concious of the tops of my legs and hips.

I did find some in the shops in the waterparks but them seemed quite expensive and not a huge choice. I've also tried over here but can't find anything similar.

Does anyone know the best place to try, either here or in Florida when we go next month :spin:

At the premium outlets at lake Bryan there is a swim wear shop with a huge range. They are not cheap but you can buy them as seperates, which for me is perfect as my top half does not match my bottom half!! :erm:

Quite a few places here are stocking swimdresses and skirts now, but you'll find a bigger choice over there as they seem more popular with women in the US.

If you don't have any luck before you come over give JCPenney at the Florida Mall a try. They generally have a good selection and the prices are very affordable.

Checkout the clearance section in Landsend they might have something there. I've just ordered a tankini with the swim-mini bottoms for my holiday at Easter. Great if you're a size (or two) larger on the bottom than the top (or vice versa even).

There used to be a specialist swimwear shop at the LBV outlets but i remember seeing skirted swimsuits in both Walmart and K-Mart.

I've bought some lovely ones in Target in the past. They have a great range of sizes & styles, catering for pretty much any body shape I would say.

My mum bought a skirt thingy from Barnsley market last year for our holidays -it was £1!!!!!!

Unfortunatley they didn't do them for the larger figure, so everyone had to put up with my big behind in the waterparks!
