View Full Version : Flea markets near Idrive?
Hi,
I don't mean the one actually on Idrive as thats a run down dump, wheres the nearest and best flea market to Idrive? We don't have a car so has to be relatively close if at all possible.
Ive heard about a good one on the 192? Is that any good and how far from Idrive is it?
We are quite partial to a bargain and the missus wants a 'designer' hand bag etc.
Cheers

Hi Kenny
Sorry mate but I can't remember seeing any on I-Drive over the years, someone may be along to say otherwise.
The one down on the 192 is quite a drive away from I-Drive I would estimate about 15 mins away. We always go for a nosey around it, and buy a few bits but alot of it is Veeeeeeerryyyyyyy tacky gear!
As we have always had a car, we have always drove so not really sure about any other way of getting there. The things on the 192 are so spaced out, a car really is beneficial if you are going to have a look down Kissimmee, there is the Lynx bus service too which is the local's transport, but again sorry, don't know much about this.
Anyone else??
cheers kerry.
Was thinking about hiring a car for as few days and heading the huge one at sandford but will see how much the car is for a coupe of days!
Is most the stuff of poor quality? again other half wants a hand bag or 2 with a designer name on it but its has to be of decent quality!
we went to one in january near the old town on the 192
er.....thanks JC!
was it any good? Worth going? any feedback would be appreciated!
Yes it was really good, there is another one a few miles further down, they had some nice stuff in there and some tack aswel but some good bargains and worth a visit

I wouldn't bother with the one at Sanford. Went there last summer and thought it was pretty useless.
Went to the one on the 192 (just past Medieval Times) some years ago and thought it was pretty good.
Take a trip to Daytona on a Friday or Saturday and go to the Flea/Farmers market, finishing off at the Beach. Or follow the 192 to the Turnpike and go to the Flea Market there.

Hi Kenny
I would definately think of getting a car for a couple of days for sure.
We have done this before when we have only been out for a week and had a car for 3 days in the middle of the week.
It allowed us to get to all the places a little further out like Kissimmee, Celebration etc etc, so if you can and will, I would for sure recommend it.
We picked ours up and dropped it off at the Holiday Inn on International Drive, they had a Dollar hire centre there so VERY handy. But look into pre-booking one too, I am sure it would be cheaper.
This company is great and very cheap:
www.usrentacar.co.uk
didnt relaise it woudl only cost around 100 GBP for 4 days!
was there any hidden charges? We're definately gonna get a car and do walmart and the fela market on 192. Maybe even do the florida mall etc.
excellent :)
