Has anyone been to Sri Lanka in May? What is the weather like then. First Choice have got some good offers on hotels over the half term break, but not sure if this is in monsoon time!!! Any help appreciated,

A conference I know of in Sept has just been rescheduled to Bangkok because of the situation in Sri Lanka. I am surprised that holiday companies are still pushing packages there. :wavey:

Have just been speaking to my boss - He went out there a couple of years ago and felt scared! Also have found out that it is the beginning of monsoon season. I think I will give this a miss!

We went to Sri Lanka 27 years ago for our honeymoon. A truly beautiful place that was friendly and welcoming. We were going to go back for our silver wedding but it was just after the Tsunami so we thought better not. Since then the security situation has really put us off, but I would love to go back one day when things improve.
