View Full Version : Emeril's anyone?
Been to Tchoup Chop and loved it, but now doing a menu comparison, I really like the look of Emeril's and as the rest of my party going in August don't know any difference ;) may book that instead. :D
Has anyone been and would you recommend it?
Also, can anyone tell me exactly where it is please, as I've walked the length and breadth of Citywalk and can place most of the restaurants but not this one! :confused2

We've eaten there but it was probably about 3 years ago now so not too recent. We enjoyed the meal but I did feel that the dishes I chose were a bit over-seasoned and a bit too salty for me. May just have been that I was unlucky on that particular evening. On balance my preference would be for Tchoup Chop as we had a perfect meal there which we all really enjoyed. Couldn't however fault the service at Emeril's which was very good. If you enter Citywalk from the car parks and walk down towards the park it's on the left hand side after Pastamore and before you get to Margaritaville.

Thanks Pam - I enjoyed Tchoup Chop but also felt that some of that food was overpowering - not sure if it was the seasoning or just a lot of highly flavoured foods because of the Pacific Fusion thing :confused2
We will be staying at RPR at the time so Tchoup Chop will be handier to stagger back to bed lol
We'll be there in April - expect a review. :wavey:

Oooooo goodie - the menu looks fab and yet not many people seem to have been there??
I await your review Hal :thumbs-up
We ate at Emerils last August and it was amazing, great choice, really interersting food but very very busy on a Saturday night. The service was good and not too posh.
Ful review to follow but I recommend you book it Sue and that you specifically ask for the Cigar Room. We had a great dining experience there. Details to follow. They offer a Gourmand Menu with wine pairings whiich we went for. The Cigar Room is a small room upstairs with only 3 tables in it, the corner one of which looks out on Citywalk (the river) from 2 aspects. Far superior to the main dining room - and we undoubtedly got the best table in the restaurant through mere chance.

Done both, both lovely meals, but I felt Tchoup Chop was a bit more special, Sue. Less kids there too, if that has any bearing for anyone.
We love watching Emeril on the tv when we`re in the villa. He is on live in the evenings and is brilliant. We brought back some of his All Natural Steak Rub and it is really lovely. We`ll be giving his restaurant a try when we`re out there in October. This is his web site. :-) www.emerils.com

Thank you Hal - I think I would go for that were it just me and a partner (having done Tchoup Chop already) BUT I've finely examined the current menus and Tchoup Chop I believe has more appeal to the other 4 in my party than Emeril's - there are also many more choices on that menu at Tchoup Chop.

See above Mike - thanks for the comment. I've reserved the table on opentable.com for Tchoup Chop :thumbs-up
