Can anyone give me some advice please... we have been planning our trip to WDW next November for ages now, and have settled on staying at Cypress Pointe. www.hotelkingdom.com offer a great price on a 2 bed villa ($64 per night).

We are happy to book this, but have read that they ask for 100% of the cost up front and we're a little nervous of parting with over £800. My question is... though I've heard good reports of hotelkingdom, what happens if they go out of business / cease trading... can we get our money back? Obviously if booking in the UK you look for companies which are ABTA bonded... the hotelkingdom website states

"License and Affiliations: Hotel Kingdom® is a Registered Trademark, which is owned by Discount Hotels America, Inc., a Licensed and Bonded Seller of Travel, Registered with the State of Florida under the name Discount Hotels America, Inc. (Registration #ST-30728). We are also a Proud Member of the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc., the Central Florida Better Business Bureau, Orlando."

Does this offer me the same sort of security as booking with a UK company which is ABTA bonded, or alternatively we my UK visa card give me any sort of security?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated... thanks!

We used hotelkingdom for our break in October with no problems at all.

I would think you would have some protection, hopefully someone in the know will be along soon.

Many people on the Dis use Hotel Kingdom. I thought they only charged for one night up front and you pay the rest to the hotel...but I am sure I read somewhere that Cypress Pointe want all the money in advance.

Also you are booking to stay at the older part of Cypress Pointe...Cypress Pointe Grande Villas has much better reviews.

Check with your credit card company as to whether they offer protection to consumers of foreign services.
