it is probably broken something inside maby a sony store could help. if you still have a warrenty use that. good luck
 Hi did you notice if the screen was cracked or anything as my ds dropped his psp down the stairs and when it turned on it was only the sound was coming through, although we could see that part of screen was broke, we did order a new screen of ebay and got it replaced by a friend,so if its this then you will be able to get it sorted, failing that there is a site on the internet that fixes psp so might be worth a look there, sorry cant remember the name but at the time we just typed in under google psp and went through a few sites to find shop that did repairs near us incase we needed to use them, sorry couldn't be more helpful, hope you get it sorted  :pd

If you don't fancy fixing it yourself, you could ring Sony PSP and log it as a fault. They may be able to offer you advise about where to get it fixed or replaced if it's still under warranty. However, they can be a bit funny about fixing/replacing without charge if it's accidental damage. Our DS's screen broke, we phoned Sony and explained and were told that the type of fault we were experiencing would only happen if it had been dropped, which DS denied, therefore we'd have to apy about £50 to get it fixed. Took it back to Currys (as only a few weeks old) and they sent it back as faulty and got us a new one as a replacement. (DS never owned up to dropping it, though; still don't know the truth to this day!!! :confused2 )
