Please can any technical minded people help?

:erm: Recently when I've gone into my documents and tried to open a file it automatically opens it in Hp image zone plus (instead of microsoft office word) All that comes up are my pictures, no word files appear. :cry:

I have to ask it to open with word, it always used to just do it. What have I done? :cry: can it be corrected easily (i'm not very good with computers.) In my documents it still shows the files with the microsoft word logo on them, If anyone can help It would be greatly appreaciated.

It sounds as though your default program has become altered.

To set it back to MS Word - shift right-click on a word document file - select 'Choose program' - a dialog box will open up - select MS Word - then make sure you check the box at the bottom which says 'always use this program'.

That should do it.

I know there is an easier way to do all of your files, I just can't think of it at the moment, but if you open your 'my documents' and right click on a document... choose properties and change the 'open with' option to word.

You have probably 'ticked' a box at some stage when downloading or updating your hp image zone software.

That has sorted it out, thank you very much, it is so easy when you know what you're doing. (or not in my case ;) )
