A friend is looking to book for October,2 adults and 5 children-could anyone tell us which hotels cater for larger families? She has so far been quoted £2,000 for 2 nights-ouch! I have learned a lot from here for my own needs but this has flummozed me!

Explorers or the Davy Crockett Ranch are good for families. Try Leger holidays as they have really good deals for families.

Don't go to davy crockett - had a cabin there a few years ago - absolutely filthy, small and dark, terrible mosquitos, dangerous pool(imo) etc. Really bad experience.
Better to get connecting rooms somewhere else. Sorry I have no experience of taking a large family to anywhere else at DLP but at that price she could fly to WDW and rent a villa for 2 weeks for the price of 2 nights in Paris.

Marriott Village d'lle de France has 3 bed townhouses which are spotlessly clean and the staff are brilliant. There's lots of facilities including pools, bar, shop, children's club etc plus a shuttle bus to the parks.

(the website only says 2 bed townhomes but i think if you ring them they could arrange something for you as it's incredibly well designed with 2 bed homes attached to studios with interconnecting doors to enable larger houses iykwim)

We've also stayed in a few other places with houses rather than rooms but you'd need to have a car.

Sorry but we disagree & love Davy Crockett & on our last visit choose it over an onsite hotel.

We started using it as we were a family of 5 & at the time No onsite hotels could cater for us in one room.

We've always found the cabins clean , comfortable With a brilliant onsite pool, having a kitchen is a bonus too.

I'm another Marriot D'Ile de France visitor .It is lovely.

Only downside is you'll need to buy passes separately. Not so bad this year though as Children under 7 get one free with every adult one purchased until Nov 5th.
