Port Aventura?

Hi

We booked to stay in Hotel Port Aventura with MyTravel and of course it's now Thomas Cook. We will be arriving May 11 for a week.

Today I received a letter from TC advising that 'Caribe Aquatic Park Indoor Area and Character Breakfasts are no longer available'.

Did anyone else get this? Does it mean that the indoor area is not available at all or does it mean that I just don't have free access anymore - I don't mind paying but I really love it here and REALLY REALLY HOPE it's not closed when we're there?

Anybody any more enlightened?

hi i went last october that is one of the reasons why you stay on site - character breakfasts - the indoor park may just be getting refurbished needs it - as do the lifeguards more happy to play hang man on the steamy windows than watch the pool!

I haven't been in over a year but I do agree it needs refurbished.

I'll be happy enough if the outdoor area is open... well... I hope I will lol

pity too because I really enjoy the Character breakfasts when I stay at HPA... ah well

We stayed there a few years ago and while eating breakfast, Betty Boo decided to wrap me in her feather boa .. no problem but I have the worlds largest phobia about feathers!!! :erm:

I screamed the whole place down, much to the dismay of many children who must have thought she was murdering me. My actions whilst panicking include blowing air through my nose (imagine blowing your nose with no hanky), screaming, trying to force myself backwards (don't be in my way) and then passing out as I've hyperventilated too much!! :confused2

Anyway, to cut a horrible story short, my boyfriend had to explain to everyone why I was now laid prone on the floor and why he had to ask Betty Boo to go away! :blush:

Had a great holiday though .. was allowed unlimited access into Caribe when we were there (end of June) .. now it's those 2 weeks where you only get one entry. Also, the fast passes are worse now ... we got unlimited fast entry to most big rides all day, every day. Now I understand that you can only use the passes after 6pm and only once? Not much of a perk IMHO.

Tip of the day .. have eyes in the back of your head in case a certain character comes near you!! :omg:
