Buying prescription drugs

Hi,
Just a quick question, is it possible to buy drugs over the counter that are only available on prescription in the UK, for instance anti-biotics? Or do they need prescribing there too?

There are many drugs available without prescription in the US which you couldn't buy over the counter here. You can buy antibiotic creams, not sure about oral antibiotics.

Oral antibiotics will need a script. If they are available in generic, then they wont be too expensive. Walmart and Target have over 300 prescription meds for $4. The list is on their website, I believe.

You will need a presecription for antibiotics - I always go to my doctor before travelling and take them with me - just in case!
