Hi everyone,
we're planning to go and stay at the alton towers hotel in june, but weren't sure if one week would be busier than another in june. We're probably going to travel down tuesday nite and hit the park on the wednesday, so if you had the choice would it be the first week of june or the second(incase of school trips or the like ) as we're taking our two out of school for a week then.
Cheers Lee and Tracey
Hard to say, we used to go every year as our school trip and this year we are going with playgroup with my youngest the w/c June 9th, I dont know if there is much difference between the weeks maybe it would be worth a call to Alton Towers as school trips are booked in advance so they must know whose coming

If you are staying at the hotel, ring them up and quote sun and they are offering 50% discount. Places at this price are limited though, we can't use it for the date in June we wanted :( the allocation for that day had already gone

Hi.. i stayed in one of the alton towers hotels.. splash landings! It was brilliant and i definatley reccomend! i'd say any of the weeks should be fine as long as you get a fast pass because the parks will most definatley be packed.

How do you get fastpasses? and Would you say that staying onsite in alton towers was worth the money? have priced it and its a tad expensive IMO. :(
It does look great though :thumbs-up

Well couldn't wait till tommorow so hung on the phone till I got through, they havn't got any availability for my ds' birthday but they have got it for the day before. Which meens that he will wake up in the hotel on his birthday but I suppose he would probably like that. Got a two day park ticket and a one night stay at the splash landing hotel for £199, not bad as it would of cost us over £100 for the tickets for one days entrance fee so thanks so much Cal and Dave.
Just have to convince DH now.

Don't forget to visit the waterpark, it's great fun, the master blaster slide is ace (it's like Crush n Gusher at TL).
You should be fine at that time of year, a week day in June will be farily quiet, if there are any school trips there not going to affect the queues to much. Don't buy any shortcut tickets either, they are a real waste of money and unless you go on the busiest days of the year you will not need them.
I'm a team member on an Alton Towers site, so if you need any more info or help, feel free to PM me.
