It depends how flexible you want to be. As you plan to visit other parks why not go for 14 day tickets and stagger them so you would have a week doing just Disney, a week where you could do any park and then a week where you'd do the non-Disney parks. However a 21 day ticket is not much more then a 14 day one so for flexibility it may be worth the extra.

I would go for 14 days as you'll fill the other days with other parks, attractions, shopping and a bit of relaxing too I hope!

so many choices well least i got till 2010 to work out the final details!
We went for 3 weeks last trip and spent first week at a Universal resort, we did US, IOA, Busch and Seaworld that week, then moved to WDW for 2 weeks and spent most of the time in Disney (we did Discovery Cove one day) - worked out best for tickets and we had done Universal to death in the first week so had no desire to go back before we left lol

We are staying on I Drive for 3 weeks and we plan to spend the first week doing Disney. We are going to buy the 10 day magic your way base ticket.
Then for the last two weeks we will focus on the parks around I Drive and purchase the new 5 park orlando flexiticket.

Staying on site for 3 weeks and so will get 21 day passes as its not really that much ,ore than the 14 day. We will also be going to other parks but want the flexibility of the 21 day pass.

yep , were doing the same. staying on site for 3 weeks so theres not really any difference in price of 14 day to 21 day.

Hi there
We go for 4 weeks and have a week outside property doing the "other" parks. Then we move on property (BCV) and do three weeks with the 21 day tickets that have park hopping and water parks etc.

It was nice to know that we could go to a Disney park whenever we wanted without having to worry about time constraints. It meant we could take things much easier!
We are going for the 21 day ticket as the difference was about £10??
We normally do 5 FULL days (MK x 2, Epcot, Dis Studio & AK + the 2 water parks)... this year we will be staying on site (POFQ, WL and AKL) so we will be just poppin' over when we feel like it some of the other days/night's if we are a bit bored/ADR's booked etc.

we are going for 3 weeks in sept and we are getting 21 day ult pass and 5 flex extra pass to make sure we can come and go has we please to all parks
not much different in price either so I may well go for 21 days however I do have some tickets left over from our trip in 2004 could I still use them?
I think you could use them if they are of the old "Park Hoopper" style where un-used days don't expire. However, AFAIK, the only way you'll be able to check how many days are left on them is at a WDW park.
