Closest Supermarket?

Hi We're staying at Yacht/ Beach club, what's the nearest supermarket?? We won't have a car?? :wave:

The nearest is probably the Goodings at the Crossroads but they are VERY expensive. Its probably worth a few dollars more in cab fare and going either to the Wal-mart a bit further down on the 535 or using the back roads, the Publix at Orange Lakes.

Goodings at Crossroads is the closest, but you can expect to pay tourist prices there. There is a Winn Dixie just along the road a bit, much cheaper and well stocked. All WDW resorts have a shop which stocks basic items and there are several gas stations on Disney property which have shops selling basic necessities, drinks and snacks.

For big-time shopping I go to the Wal-Mart Supercenter.

I often go to the Winn-Dixie to pick up a few things. Turn left at the end of the street just opposite Crossroads (east from Downtown Disney) and it's down a few blocks on the right. Get their free "frequent buyer's card," whatever they call it, for discounts. Try Cuban bread if you've never had it, yum.

Also right there in the same strip is ABC Liquor store (MUCH better prices and selection than on-site, especially for wine and spirits) and a good Walgreen's pharmacy (across the street). And a FedEx/Kinko's if you need to send something overnight or to use a computer for a few minutes.
