Hi, we have booked to go to Beaches in Negril for next Easter.
Unfortunately, I have had to take my children out of school for 4 days, as the price was £1500 cheaper to do this.
They will be 14 and 10 and wanted a resort that looked child friendly.
Has anyone been here? I have been to Ocho Rios and loved Jamaica but thought the resort itself was too touristy and someone suggested Negril.

We were there last February. The resort is lovely. The beach is gorgeous with plenty of sun loungers. My two boys were 14 and 11 and they had a fabulous time - there is so much for them to do.
The only thing which wasn't brilliant was the food - it was fine and there is loads of choice it just wasn't quite in keeping with the standard of the resort. Having said that I guess they are appealing to families and my kids really loved the food.
The staff are so helpful - I don't think I've ever been to a hotel where everyone was so eager to please. The Jamaican people really are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
We have been to Beaches Boscobel, and met with others there who had been to Beaches Negril and they much preferred Beaches Negril. Boscobel was great but I would choose Negril next time - so you have made the right choice. :thumbs-up

thanks for the replies...The food doesn't bother me, it's mostly keeping the kids busy. I do like to be served a la carte and it would be nice for my hubby and I to have a couple of romantic dinners too!!
