My memories of this ride are somewhat blurred (last went 1997) - I have a photo of me screaming my head of which is off putting to say the least! Think the dd's will love it, not sure if I'm brave enough to go on it again. Please remind me what this ride is like - is it scary, many big drops etc?
Thanks

One of my absolute favs, its such good fun.
If my boys can do it since the age of 3 then I'm sure you can manage it!;)
The drop isn't that big I don't think. The Jurassic Park River Adventure drop is a lot bigger.:spin:
Go for it, you'll love it!:thumbs-up

My fav too. My DD went on it when she was 4 for the first time and wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry when we came off. If I remember correctly It's a few small drops with the final biggie.....where is that poncho?? drip drip

I have been on this a few times in my youth, but then went back in June last year after 12years since last visit and totally chickened out when I saw the drop! I am determined to go back on it though next month, just wish it didnt make me feel so ill at the thoguht of it - lol!! Its a great ride though :) xx

There are videos of it (and every other Disney attraction) on Youtube.
One of my top favourite rides in MK we did it for the first time when it open up in 1992 love the bear rabit theme, last time I did it was 2001 there are a few drops on route to the big one but its all the build up to it. what put me off the first time was the two birds at the top (cant think what breed), the worse log flume rides are in bush garden get a lot more wetter but on a hot day a great way to cool down!

It's great, the drop isn't that bad it looks worse watching it from the bridge than actually experiencing it.
I'd suggest you fastpass it though as it gets busy and there is quite a long wait.
It's a nice ride but you don't get wet. The water you see shooting up in the air after a car has gone down the last drop is an effect. I'd recommend going on at night as you get a great view across the park and of the castle.

Hi all
One of DH & DS fav rides!!

I'd recommend going on at night as you get a great view across the park and of the castle. You do get wet now, soaking in fact!! It is my favourite ride and we were there last October. Everyone was getting drenched and the CM told me they had "tweaked" it for this to happen. :D The theming on there is fabulous, you would be really missing out if you didn`t go on it. Have a look here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-reUCySma4Y
Superb ride!!! As stated earlier, the drop isnt as bad once you are up there....and the theming on this ride is superb!!
Just dont stand there for ages watching the drop and people screaming, it might put you off ;) !!

This is one of mine and DD fave rides - but we DID get wet!! :) We sat in the front row and the water came up and over the front and smacked us right in the chops!!!! :tounge: Our heads and shoulders were absolutely soaked - fantastic fun :d:

I can't remember the details of it but I remember loving it. My parents came on it too and they "don't do rides" but they really enjoyed it and didn't feel ill or anything, and had the chance probably would have gone back on. Hope that helps :)

Don't chicken - or you'll miss a wonderful ride. If you're worried about getting wet buy a plastic poncho from Walmart for a few cents. I carry them with me at all times. People were asking to buy them off us in February!!
The worst log flume ride for getting wet has to be Ripsaw Falls at IOA. I was extremely glad of my poncho and 2 big guys sat in the front of the log and even then I thought we'd reached the end and took off my hood and someone squirted water at us from the bridge!! Great laugh though. :pgig: We didn't go on Popeye's raft ride as you definitely need a complete set of spare clothes in a locker even if you have a poncho. I can cope with it in the heat of August but not in the coolish temperatures of February- yes I'm a wus - I hate being wet and cold!! :(
I also avoided Tanganiki Tidal Wave at Busch but I love it in the summer! :d:

I love splash mountain but my stomach does churn as the log climbs that big hill and you know what is coming next. We got soaked. It is funny as when we were waiting in lime I was like well if we got put there then they came off not bad and it was the opposite for us we got soaked. Dont know if any of you think the same?
I've never done splash, DH accepts I'm a wuss so never made me but when we went with DD she wanted me to go but went on with just DH in the end. I'd love to surprise her next trip and go on but I don't know if I can.

One of the best rides at MK.
So much fun for the whole family, and a great way to cool off when you get too hot!
Would recommend fast pass on this one for sure as the queues can be really long
