Magic Kingdom Tuesday's

Hi,

In January, the light parade at MK is on Saturdays and Tuesdays. Now I know the Saturday will be busy, but how about the Tuesday? Because it is the only weekday when the parade is on, does this mean big queues at the park?

I'd quite like to see the parade, but not if it means long queues for all the rides.

If all you want to see if the parade, why don't you spend the day in one of the other Disney parks and then hop over to MK an hour or so before the parade. This way you would miss any long wait time for the rides in MK and then go back another day to do the rides you want.

Tuesday is generally a pretty quiet day at the MK, and in January the parks will be very quiet anyway, so I don't think it should be a problem.

I'm only going to be spending a day at each of MK, MGM and Epcot (with a 3-day pass) so I don't really want to leave a park to go to another one, especially as I want to see Fantasmic at MGM and I'm going to have to cram in a lot at Epcot as I'm only there a day.

But from what BevS97 says, sounds like Tuesday at MK should be fine anyway.

Tuesday in Mk should be okay, not as many crowds with it being a weekday and in January.

Don't forget - Fantasmic is closed for re-hab Jan 26th to Jan 30th - it re-opens on Jan 31st

Kali River Rapids (at AK) is closed Jan 20th - Jan 30th

and the Liberty Riverboat at MK is closed Jan 17th - Feb 8th (we missed this last time and we're going to miss it again this year, shame)

Oh, that's great. I didn't know they were doing Tuesdays as well.

Lin - SpectroMagic is on Tuesday and Saturday all through January starting at 7pm with Wishes starting at 8pm on those days.

I'm planning doing the same the Tuesday before Presidents day in February. I dont think it will be that busy.

Is this true for all Tuesdays? I am planning to be in MK on Tuesday 11th May. It would be a bonus if that was a SpectroMagic day.

You need to check the park opening hours and parade times etc on the Disney web site - times vary quite a lot from week to week, let alone by month - it's probably best to check nearer to your departure date

having the choice of going on tuesday is going to really help with my planning.
Thanks for the really useful thread, I have looked at the opening times and what times the parades are but did not see Spectromagic planned for the Tuesday.

It was there a couple of days ago when I last looked - the park hours page has been off-line for some of today
