Mmm, interesting. Have heard a few things about Disney replacing Pleasure Island. As they say...watch this space... Thanks for posting the link!

There's been a bit mentioned about this elsewhere, but it sounds like it could be fun!

Was surveyed about this a few weeks ago. You can see the thread here (http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=189806).

Hmmmmm.... I read about this one before and I suspect that it will probably happen as Disney are clearly targeting the higher end of the holiday market. Like Discovery Cove at Seaworld, it is an attempt to extract more dollars per visitor. The "exclusive" nature of the park (it would have a daily quota of 2000 people) means that it will likely have a daily ticket price of between $250 and $350.
Can't say however that I am entirely comfortable with this move. Maybe it's because I have an instinctive aversion to anything which seeks to create two "classes" of visitor. If you are fairly well off then this isn't going to pose too much of a problem and I am sure that there are many people who can and will pay. But for your average visitor with kids the cost would be prohibitive. Theme parks are expensive enough and this just strikes me as Disney getting a bit greedy. I would far rather see a conventional new park in the same mould as the other four.
I agree, it would be better having a new park like the others. The stuff spoken about doesn't really excite me for $300!
It's been mentioned before, but why do they not make something like a Disney Villains Park, that would have potential, although maybe scary for really young kids....

I agree with 001 ATLANTIS, building a park purely for the "higher budgeted" guests, seems wrong to me. Discovery Cove works, due to the nature of it's offerings, but from what I've heard of this Disney attempt at the same type of thing, it just doesn't excite me enough to consider paying the premium to get in.
I would much prefer, as would most people for them to take a bit longer and build a new "normal" park that everybody can enjoy. Maybe a new version of DisneySea, that could offer a mix of family and thrill attractions that a Disney park needs to compete with the likes of US & IOA.
