Loews First Membership Gift???

Hi everybody, :wavey:

can anybody settle a little dilemma for us; when we filled out our Loews membership form we asked for a "local gift" as our membership reward. (DW's Choice ;) )
We are going to be staying at the HRH and was wondering what the local gift entails or would I be better changing our preference to BEER :grin: oh and nuts.
If any enlightened Dibbers can help with this it would be greatly appreciated.

They always ask me when i checkin what i would like as my gift.
I got the beer and nuts which was good ,had the cookies and milk ok not great, and had the fruit which was ok.
read some where the local one included a lot of different chocolate bars.

I have asked for the $10 credit for the mini bar..Has anybody had this and is it worth it ?? Just thinking prob only get 2 drinks from it lol

Try one drink!! The small bottle of water was $7.50 last time we were there!

We have never requested a local gift, but have this time :)

The gifts seem so paltry I'm glad I've always booked and taken an Annual Pass discount on the room rate, instead of paying the published rate and taking my Loews First gift. The discount would cover at least 30 bottles of beer, rather than the 3 that I believe come with the 'gift'.

I was under the impression I would get both :confused2

I've booked using my AP discount and entered my lowes first number on the booking so I guess I just have to wait and see.

We were given both. We used our annual pass for a discount on the room, joined Loews first and selected our gift but didn't expect to get it as well. Bonus. :thumbs-up

Bonus indeed - I've not been so lucky on 3 or 4 AP stays.

But....you can only get the gifts if you are paying "rack rate" for the room.

I have joined Loews online, they game me a membership number , but when I put it into the booking page on the Loews website is says it is not recognised.

Do you have to book by phone?

We booked over the phone with Universal. We gave them our Loews member number over the phone and asked them to apply the AP discount.

We have never booked through the Loews website.:wave:

We had the same problem, joined Loews then made the reservation but it didn't recognise the number. I thought it might take a few days for it to register and was going to try again this weekend.

when we were at the HRH we didnt get a freebie so I went and told reception - within the hour there was a knock at the door and a guy had beer and nuts for us!!

Did not get ours at the hard rock, but got a free upgrade from a standars to club level

We had the wine and nuts last October - and very nice they were, too :)

I actually asked for the local gift, but was told they didn't have any available. Shame, my DD would have loved all the chocolate - after all, the three bags from MNSSHP only lasted about three months ;)

I would not worry about putting your number against your reservation, unless you are Gold or Platinum as you would need to request your automatic upgrades. Just give it when you checkin, and tell them what you would like for your welcome gift, they usually ask anyway.

Wow! You got all that chocolate as your gift! For 2 rooms I had selected one as wine/nuts and the other as cookies/milk, but think my boys would prefer all that candy!

Anyone tried the cookies and milk?
