Hi everyone.,
just looking for an explanation as to how this works.
I know its your room key, but if we give our credit card details when checking in does that mean we can use it in the parks to pay for stuff?
Also i've heard you can use it for your park tickets, does this mean we can all get a card (me,tracey, raymond and jade ) and transfer our tickets (bought from an independant site eg. floridatix) on to our key to the world cards?
Cheers Lee

Yes you can use it in the parks when you buy things. The cost is then charged to your room and added to the bill you get when you check out.

There is a discussion going on on this forum at the moment as to whether you can have tickets bought separately added on to your room key or not but as far as I am aware you can. If check in won't do it for you it might be worth asking at Guest Relations at one of the parks.

Yep, you can have your park tickets added to your room key! We've never had a problem doing this at check-in!
Most places will take the card as payment apart from certain places like the food carts in the parks!

I posted about the tickets on card in the other forum. It seems quite a few people have successfully had their paper tickets transferred to their keys, so it's definitely possible.

However I've been told (more than once) by cast members that it wasn't possible - only MYW could go on a card. So if you get told you can't do it it's probably worth asking another cast member later. I know I'll be doing it this year.

Bought our tickets and dining plan as a package through Virgin. On check in everything was put on the room key without us asking and it worked brilliantly. DH lost his during the second week at BB, rang the hotel from there to put a stop on it and by the time we got back a new card was waiting for him. I got so reliant on it we often went out without any cash, one day we went to DTD but were still able to room charge at the Virgin store. Checked the bill at the end of the holiday and everything was spot on.
