View Full Version : Remind me - what are the Epcot restaurants like?

We ate in Mexico in 1988 and Norway in 1990. Vowed we would not eat in Norway ever again! Our opinion has always been that these restaurants are a watered down, tuned to the American palate, versions of the real thing. However, our teens want to try some themed dining and we are looking at Mexico again, Morocco (never tried this) and Japan - only thing here was we can't work out if one is a counter service (we want to know if one of them has the chef cooking in front of you). Don't fancy any of the others - unless there are any that you feel we should try (except the UK - we refuse to eat there!!!). Thanks! :d:

Rose and crowns food was awful. We loved Coral reef and the CS in Mexico.

We ate at the following in Sept 07:
Le Cellier - great food and fantastic service, my favourite meal.
San Angel Inn - Beautiful, romantic, great food and service, good with children
Biergarten - Buffet has loads of meat choices and good entertainment, service ok
Restaurant Marrakesh - Great entertainment, mixed reaction to the food

we really like the epcot restaurants -
le cellier good steaks and never had a problem with service though some have said they have.
teppan edo (new name for the japanese) chef cooks in front of you fun and good food.
les chefs de france - good onion soup and steaks and fab desserts

Forgot about the Coral Reef so am doing a bit more research. Does Le Cellier have any "theming"? Or is it just a restaurant with nice decor? What I am trying to say is - does anything else go on in there like in Mexico?

Thanks everyone!

No nothing else went on when we were there. But as we were dining at the very beginning of dinner service they asked everyone in the waiting area to stand up and the CM's all burst into a rendition of O Canada!!

A bit embarassing.
