email sub accounts

i have BT yahoo mail etc and set up sub accounts for my ex and his daughters.

If i deleted his account how would that affect him, will he still have his email account? or will it be invalid?

I recently had to set up FIL with a new sub address for his BT yahoo account due to the fact that he was getting too much spam.

From my brief insight, if you as the main account holder delete the sub address then it's no longer available to anyone.
