Hi All, Looking for some net nanny type software that will block undesirable content from accessing children's PC's.
As this is for four PC's some free software would be preferable
thanks in advance......Ted

Have a look at OpenDNS
http://www.opendns.com/
Basically you change your DNS settings on your router (saves making a change/installing software on each PC individuall).
Sign up for an account (free). Add your IP address and create a profile based on what you want the pcs to be able to access. Takes a bit of playing around with but from what I saw of it when I was messing with it the other week it looks good.
I didn't use any of the blocking features but did notice that browsing speeds were much improved over using Virgin's standard DNS servers.

Thanks Matt,This is actaully for a mate who wants to protect his 4 childrens laptops.
But not to hinder his own 'the main' PC, so I think software may be the only option.
Thanks......Ted
