Chef Mickey's - parking

We've just booked for a Chef Mickey's breakfast in June :spin: :spin: Can anyone tell us if you aren't stopping at a Disney hotel, what you do about parking? Do we have to park at the hotel, or can we park - before 7.30 am - at MK or Epcot? So excited as we haven't done this one before. :pgig:

We drove directly to the contemporary and we purchased a parking pass for the same rate as the one in the park.We were going to move the car when we had eaten but I really wanted to take the monorail in to MK.A quick check with a cast member told us we could leave the car all day as we had paid the parking rate.He was a really old guy he said in his many years at Disney he had never seen anyone towed away for leaving the car in the resort hotel and going on to the park.

If you have an ADR at one of the Disney resort hotels then you can park in the hotel car park free of charge, last time we drove to the contemporary for Chef Mickey’s we got to the security barrier the guy on the gate gave us a three hour parking permit and told us where we should park

When we have eaten at disney hotels we have got a pass from the security gate for a couple of hours so so to enable us to park free while we eat.

Sorry to hijack your thread, will this apply to the Grand Floridian as well (ADR 16.6.08) and where about's is this hotel?

Confirm what other have said, we just turned up at the security lodge gave our adr number and surname which the guy checked on his list, gave us a slip of paper to put on the dashboard with a time in on it and (from memory) three hours parking and a 'have a good time with Mickey'

We were a little unsure at first but with most thing Disney they make it effortless when you get there.

We are going on June 3rd at 7.30am. Your must be going on holiday the 2 weeks after us.

Exactly the same for us last year and it applied at the Polynesian too. We wanted to get teh monorail over to MK but had to move the car first - bit of a pain but never mind!

Just been reading another thread and it reminded me that you need photo ID when parking at a Disney hotel, the security will ask for it when you enter, we always have been anyway and I have forgotten until I saw someone else mention it so don't forget your drivers license or passport.

Do you mean for us to put a review of it on here after we've been? If so not sure if we'll be able to as not taking the laptop on holiday and don't know if we'll get to an internet cafe, but if we do, will try and do it before you leave on holiday :wavey:
