Hi

Just been to collect my Disney & universal tickets from Thompson Travel Agents and was shocked to just recieve 2 pieces of paper (vouchers)

Can anyone tell me what their experience of using these vouchers was like please.

Do you have to queue for long?
Do they then give you real tickets?
Is 1 driving licience enough photo id?
Is it true what Thompson told me that no one supplys real tickets these days, it is all done with vouchers?

Not long now I'm getting so excited. :spin:

1. You'll go to guest services at the first park you visit, depends on the time of day but shouldn't be too excessive.
2. Yes
3. Yes, for the lead booker should suffice although it's good practice to have ID for the others at the parks anyway.
4. No

Have just received my tickets also. We received 'real' park tickets for Disney but vouchers for our Flexiplus.

Hope that makes you feel better you arent the only one.

Although I booked my holiday with Thomson, I got my tickets separately from UK brokers as I wanted the real tickets. From my experience of booking this holiday with them, I'll never go near them again. The haven't got a clue what they are doing 99% of the time.

Have a great holiday.

Thanks everyone, i've calmed down now. I really don't like the idea of having to queue to get the tickets but I suppose the vouchers are more secure.

We got ours with Thomson last year, and were given a piece of paper. Don't queue up at the main gates, go to the smaller Will Call counter. We went to the one at MK, at the TTC. The queue was around 5 minutes, and they gave us the real tickets which we could then use straight away

You don't stay where you are staying so I don't know if this helps at all, but each time we've went we've stayed on site at a Disney hotel. When you check in there they set up your room key for you. On that card you can add credit facilities, and you can have your park ticket added onto the card as well. If you are staying at a Disney Hotel you should be able to redeem your voucher at check in.

We had Universal vouchers twice before. That system can work well through the automated ticket machine but if something goes wrong - like your credit card has expired and the bank has sent you a new one.... - you have to go to the desk and it took us 30 minutes to get through there.
