Gill....first you need to host them somewhere like photobucket...then you copy the img code and click on the wee picture on here when you're posting and that inserts the image....
Hi Gill,
You have two options, one is mentioned above where you need to host your pictures on another site and then link to them. If you look at the sticky posts in the Photo Forum Andre posted a 'How To' for this.
The second option is to become a DIBB AP Holder (http://www.thedibb.co.uk/dibb-subs.php) as an AP holder you can easily attach pictures straight from your computer into your posts.

Thanks Linda & Stu,
Tried photobucket, I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I can't seem to do it  so I've just become an AP Holder and see if I can get any joy that way,
you may get to see some pics before our next holiday! :d:

Hiya Gill looking forward to seeing some piccies
xx
Did you try following my step-by-step guide to using PhotoBucket, it seems to work for most people: http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=162137
What's not working for you, uploading the photos in the first place or adding them to your DIBB message?

Hi Andre,
It's actually adding them to a message, I've tried to upload them to the member's gallery with no luck, tried moving them from "my pictures" to "my documents" and to desktop and new folders, it's probably really simple but I'm starting to lose patience
I even managed to upload a photo of my great-niece and I don't know how
Gill.
You're nearly there then - as you say, you've already managed to upload a pic to your DIBB photo album:
http://www.thedibb.co.uk/photopost/data/500/MY_PICTURES_003_364_1_.jpg
Now all you need to do is to go into your DIBB member photo gallery and click on the specific photo that you've uploaded and you want to put into your message (so you can see it full size). Underneath the full-size photo you'll see a line described as "BB Code" - just click on the "Copy to Clipboard" button next to that.
Then go into the forum and compose your message as normal. Where you want to insert the picture, you simply paste in that copied text (use the Windows "Edit">"Paste" menu option, or just use the Control+C shortcut if you're familiar with that).
You may see something like this appear in the message at this stage - don't worry, that's meant to happen:
http://www.thedibb.co.uk/photopost/data/500/MY_PICTURES_003_364_1_.jpg
That's it, when you post the message the picture will appear.

My posting rules say I may not post attachments. Does this mean I can't add photos?
You can post messages with photos that you have already uploaded to an external site (most DIBBers use PhotoBucket) but you don't get to upload the pics straight to the DIBB unless you pay to become a passholder.

Thanks Andre, looks like I'll have to get a photobucket account.
Gill is still having problems via PM, so just to clarify how to upload to the DIBB if you're an AP passholder:
1) Go to the DIBB Gallery and click on "Upload Photos" at the top right.
2) In the series of empty boxes for adding your photos, click on the first "Browse" button.
3) Use the file selector box to find the photo you want on your own PC (probably in your My Pictures folder) and when you have selected it, click on "Open".
4) The path and filename text will appear in the first box. You can add more filenames (if you want to do several at a time, and/or add descriptions) but for now just click the "Upload/Submit" button.
5) On the next screen you can again add extra categories/descriptions/etc if you want, but for now just click on "Process".
Job done. Your photo(s) should now be in your own Members Gallery and you can place them in your postings as described above.

Got upto stages 4 no problem it's 5 that's not going to plan , it says upload successful but no "Process" on the next page.
Gill.
So what do you see after "Upload Successful"?

It goes to members gallery
My photo's-My album etc!
with boxes under it the first one has the picture of the baby, the others have upload photo's in them.
Gill.
That sounds odd. What sort of file/size/etc are you trying to upload. May need to ask Stu for some more help on this one.
Andre
Hi Gill,
If you are using images straight from your digital camera then they are probably going to be too big.
The maximum size per picture is 300KB
There is a Picture Resizer program that you can download for free, just look at the Sticky post by Anne at the top of this forum.
I just quickly created this Gallery Tutorial, it's a Flash/Video tutorial, not brilliant but should give you the basics.
It's a 7 Mb file so may take a little while to start.

Thanks anyway Andre!
It's probably something really simple,
I don't know about file/size, I've tried 1 picture at a time and I've tried taking them from My pictures/desktop etc.
I think I'll give up for a while before I have a break down :confused2
Gill.
Gill see my post above yours, I think you may have posted at the same time.
