micro sd / m3 simply

Hi folks

Can anyone help?

I have a new micro sd - exactly the same as my old one - even the same make etc, but when I try to load onto it it comes up with an error type message. Do I have to do anything to it before I load stuff onto it?

I hate technology....I 've been at this for 5 hours nearly and still got no-where :nonono:

It seems there are some problems with the 2gb cards. What have you got? Also what is your error message?

Have you copied the software over that makes it work this shows up as a yellow folder on my memory card

Its a sandisk 1gb microsd.

The error reads:

couldnt find _ds_menu.dat

I thought I had :confused2 - I'll have another go.

Do I have to copy the items voer individually or can I copy everything in the folder in one go? :confused2

Can you tell I'm useless at all this :blush:

there are 2 yellow folders - system and moonshl - I'll copy them over again and see it if makes a difference :(

Thanks Andrea :thumbs-up - I've got 4 files loaded so far :D

It was the yellow files that was causing the problem - I'd only transferred the one over :blush:

Easy done took me ages 1st time to work it out but done 3 now so im ok at it

Note that 2gb is the max size you can use in an M3 / R4. AFAIK, none of the 4gb cards work; especially those marked SDHC.

Wow! - thank you - I was looking on ebay earlier and nearly bought a 4gb!

I have a m3 ds REAL and the larger memory cards work with that but so far its the only 1 i know that does work with the larger cards
