Duelling Dragons during WWofHP Construction

Hi all,

Just wondering if Duelling Dragons will be open in May when we go even though I know it will eventually be added to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter island?

If anyone knows anything, please let me know as it was one of our favourites last time!

It's rumoured that DD will be shut down for around 5-6 months to make the change to Harry Potter. I would imagine that this won't happen until sometime next year, mainly as it would seem weird it having it's full HP themeing over a year before the area is due to open.

Also if it was going to be closed in May, it would've been announced already.

Phew....after I wrote this I suddenly realised I would actually be a bit gutted because it is a great coaster!

Posieden's Fury, is going to be the only attraction left in Lost Continent, once WWoHP is completed.

apparently not. dueling dragons will stay. the que will be moved though.
on another forum im a member of a lot of universal employees post on and they say dueling dragons will stay.

I heard from the beginning that Duelling dragons was going to just be renamed and Posiedons Fury ( :zzz: ) is going to change .. cannot really see this the other way around :confused2 . They may use some of the walk up to DDs as it is soooooooooo long and realy a waste of space.. though I love the Castle inside..

From what I've heard they were testing a batch queueing process last year for DD, for a possible new pre-show quite possibly themed around the Dragon task of the Tri-Wizard Cup. Guests were held in the room with the stained glass windows before let into the rest of the queue, it's thought that this is where you'll be told about the "challenge".

If you look at this (http://media.universalorlando.com/resources/digitalassets/press_hp_owl_view_high.jpg) concept art picture, you can see what the area is "planned" to look like, and if you look just above the owls right wing you can see what looks like DD and then above that the castle that holds the queue & stations, including a tent entrance, much like the champions tent in Goblet of Fire. Plus work has already begun on the castle, to make it fit into the area better.
