Check it out guys, more new attractions for 2009 you lucky, lucky people!

Mind the hype though, look at Aquatica, great but far too hyped and the concept imagery was too out there for the final product.

It's rumoured to be a flying coaster, like Air at Alton Towers, themed to different rays. It certainly fits in with the comment about "gliding".

I'm llooking forward to seeing this develop. 2009 is going to be a very big year, by the looks of it. :D

I clicked at at the 'gliding' bit too and automatically thought of
air at alton towers. Think if it was it would be a great ride :thumbs-up

Heard it's definately going to be a 'flyer' like Air but hopefully better (Air is way too tame!), think we might have to go back again!!

Oh dear, poor Seaworld.

Sorry I loved it when it was a coaster free zone.... even though I am the coaster girl.
Seaworld had a different atmosphere.... gentle, quiet and so interesting.

More rides, more attractions...... florida seems to be getting like a Coaster Benidorm now.

I want to go back next year... I do hope it wont be my last visit as everytime we go back, we get more and more saddened.
Overkill.

If it's any consulation, from what I've heard this isn't going to be a huge imposing tall coaster like Kraken is. Supposedly it will stay fairly close to the ground interacting with the scenery, after all that's what flying coasters do best. Due to the reduced clearence it requires it's able to get closer to the ground, water or whatever. From reading the article, it does sound like they are going to be trying to find some sort of happy medium between the wildlife/educational side of the park and the thrills.

I can see where you're coming from, not wanting Sea World to change into a generic park, and I don't think it ever will, but it does need to create new attractions to keep people coming in. If it was to stick with the same wildlife attractions forever, occasionally changing the shows, Sea World would become a very quiet and forgotten park, as sad as that is, it's a fact of life. If parks don't stay fresh and continually add new experiences they will eventually fail.

SeaWorld have filed a trademark for the name Manta in relation to a ride, so I guess this is it.

This (http://www.bolliger-mabillard.com/products/flying_en.aspx) is the type of ride it's rumoured to be, but we'll just have to wait and see what Sea World end up doing with it.

I was only saying when we were there last year that it needs another good ride :)

So when we go back in 2010 it going to be so cool.... will be like the first time we went all over again.

Will have the following to look forward to now:

Seaworld ride
New stuff @ Busch Gardens
Harry Potter Theme Park
Simpsons
All the new shops fully opened
New development @ Mecardo

Really looking forward to it now.

A new coaster is great news.

I don't agree that there can be too many rides and attractions in Orlando, the number of visitors keeps climbing after all. Perhaps a new park next?

If it's a B & M coaster it will be a good one

Yeh i read about this last month. A flying coaster would be great, the only one in the state if im correct. Never been on one before

I note the comment on 'Manta' trademark registration again suggesting a 'flying' type experience. Sounds a different experience to anything in Orlando already - I can only hope that they have open for May next year.

Is that where Knight (Night?) Kingdom is going? or is this somewhere else?
