thinking about adding universal to our trip so the children can see Shrek. The children are 3 and 7 is it worth a day out of magic kingdom for this ?
How much will one day cost?

There's lots at Universal for smaller kids. As well as Shrek there's Barney, ET, Woody Woodpecker and at IOA the Seuss Landing area with quite a few rides and characters from the Seuss books as well as the Marvel superheroes.

They have the Mardi Gras parade on Saturday nights until April 19th.

I would agree with the Dibber above - there is loads for kids at Universal. Our kids loved it! The Curious George Water area too. :cool2:

Universal is great for all ages me and my other half whent on jimmy neutron when we whent by ouselves.Grandaughter really upset when we told her that :d:

Completely agree with all the above posts. Our family actually preferred Universal to Disney as there were many more characters available for photos (shrek and Donkey are brilliant!!). On a single day our kids met woody woodpecker, shrek et al, jimmy neutron, dora the explorer, all the Barney cast and the penguins from Madagascar, needless to say they loved every minute and Dad loved the foxy princess Fiona!!!
