Which parking is best for leaving afterwards ;)General, preffered, or valet :confused2
hope this makes sence but sometimes you go into a park and come out at a different part wondered if any parking was more straight forward than the other if you know what i mean;)
General parking is across the road and accessed usually via a Tram, preferred is in the same area as disabled parking so you can exit the park and walk a short distance to your car.
From our web Busch web page
Parking:
There are a number of parking lots at Busch Gardens, lots A and B are nearest the park entrance and these are reserved for the handicapped and preferred parking. The standard parking is across the street which is where the majority of vehicles are parked. You will be taken to the park entrance via the Bush Gardens Trams, if you are in lots A or B then it's just as easy to walk.

Disabled and preferred parking are together in the parking lot right in front of the park, regular parking is in the lot across the road so you need to wait for the tram to get back there.
If you want a quick exit then I'd choose preferred parking.

Whats the difference between preffered and valet
With preferred you park your car yourself close to the entrance of the park and valet your car is parked for you, you just drive up, get out and give them your keys and then when you exit the park they'll go and fetch it for you (I imagine, as this is how valet works everywhere else).

I never seen preferred as a better option for leaving to be honest.
It might save you a few minutes to the car but you won't get onto the I4 quicker because of it.
It's literally two minutes if that on the tram to the normal parking lot and I've never had any bother exiting from there.
The trams are running pretty much continuously.
Saying that we've never stayed to park closing, but neither do most visitors from what I gather so the time to the I4 and the hour + journey back is really no different between general and preferred.

I don't think it makes much difference at all .. have never had to wait ages for a tram at the end of the day and I have almost been told to shut the door on the way out ;) LOL probably walked farther to the car from the park in preferred, than from the tram to the car over the road..
Added to this the parking system at Busch, in particular their staffing levels is very good. At other parks (especially Sea World), trying to leave at the end is a case of "every man for himself". At BG they staff the car park making it a far more civilized experience.
Check opening time !
We went late September and thought it would be 9am only to find it was later (could have had a lie in!). But, because it was quiet they directed everyone to the 'preferred' parking area.
However, having been there for park opening in the past, we found it a longer walk than from the car to the tram stop in the normal car park!
But - do get there for park opening because the band is great!

We were at Busch on Tuesday and also the previous week. On our first visit we arrived about 9.30 and were parked (area F) right next to the tram stop. We left at park closing time, straight onto a tram and out of the car park in minutes. Our second visit, we arrived about an hour later. We had a slightly longer walk to the same tram stop. On Tuesday it poured with rain and there was thunder and lightning so everything stopped running. It didn't let up so everyone left. We had to queue for a tram but it was all very well organised. As we were in the car park area behind F we came out of a different exit, but again were straight out. We were very impressed with the organisation and couldn't see why you would need to pay extra for preferred parking.
