What happens if you have tickets for MNSSHP and the weather is really bad?

I'm sure I read about people last year being given tickets to return on another night. Our Pirate and Princess party was on a night when it rained heavily, but no such offer was made, but then there wasn't another date while we were there anyway.

Last year the weather was really bad during our MNSSHP. It was really disappointing as we had got all dressed up and it pretty much poured down the whole night.:(

There was a long queue for guest services during the evening. They were offering a one day ticket to MK to be used within a year. We wasn't interested in that as we just wanted to come back to another party night. This was no problem. They told us to bring our original party tickets to another party and they would issue new tickets for that night.

Thats what we did and we had a great time and it was dry, yay!!:spin:

It depends on HOW wet it is I think. I know that there were 2 nights last year which were totally washed out - ie no parades/fireworks etc - and you could get ticket for another night. On the night we went (30th October) however, it started to drizzle during the first parade but both that and the Fireworks took place although the 2nd parade was cancelled. We were not offered any compensation. To be honest we were very disappointed but tried to make the most of the evening. I'd love to go again sometime on a 'good' night!

It was a washout on the 14th september they had no wet weather plan other than to issue free tickets to MK for another day which was no use to us and they wouldn't let us change tickets for the next MNSSHP. A lot of people were asking for their money back and Disney wouldn't budge.
DH thinks it was a huge waste of money. On the plus side we got loads of candy and had our faces painted as there wasn't a que. Very upset not to have seen ANY characters dressed up.

last year when i was waiting for the parade during mnsshp the people beside us got talking and they said that it was raining so heavily everything came to a stand still and that the rain wasn't going away so disney finally gave in and gave refunds to people who wanted them but they had to really fight for it and disney dont like to make it public that they will give refunds due to weather
