Simpsons ride to open on....

...what date? Does anyone have a clue yet? I'm over there next week for 3 weeks and I SOOOO must go on this ride. I'm aware of the possibility of soft openings, but is there anyone who can give a better idea...all the website says is 'soon'.

Also, does anyone know where, if anywhere, I would be able to watch a championship game that is being broadcast by Sky over here, over there? I know a couple of places have Setanta, but I dont know who, if anyone, carries Championship over there.

Was just looking on trip advisor and someone on there has said they have had an email saying official opening is 17 May. We are gutted with this as we leave on the 15 May. Don't know how true this is.

A CM told us the soft openings were scheduled to begin on April 20th right after Mardi Gras. Passholder previews will follow the CM previews before general opening around the end of the month. Of course this all depends on there being no technical problems. Don't give up hope yet.

Hi just been on the Trip Advisor website and clicked on www.Universalorlando.com and picked simpsons ride and then went on when they krusty ride is open when you click on hollywood it says 17th May but when you click on Orlando it says soon, so i think it will we open end of April after the new preview dates 17-20th April..otherwise it would have said 17th May, when you go on the trip advisor forum people are now saying the same as what i have seen..so fingers crossed.. :grin:

We were hoping it would be open whilst we were there but it wasn't.
I asked a member of staff who said it was going to be a while yet and that hadn't even hired people to work on the ride yet. They were still working on building it last Tuesday when we were there.

Apparently word is ,that they both [hollywood & universal] will open the ride on the same date.

Question 2: Hubby watched footy matches at the PUB on highway 27 just down from the us27/I4 junction opposite Posner Park.
