It's a world of laughter, a world of tears.
It's a world of hopes and a world of fears.
There's so much that we share,
That it's time we're aware,
It's a small world after all.
It's a small world after all,
It's a small world after all,
It's a small world after all,
It's a small, small world.
There is just one moon, and one golden sun,
And a smile means friendship to everyone.
Though the mountains divide,
And the oceans are wide,
It's a small world after all,
......etc.
I'm so sorry. I'm so, so sorry.
Is it an age thing? I wonder if this ride only appeals to certain age groups? What do you think?

From my point of view when I was younger (i.e. a lot younger  ) in the days when there weren't too many rides at Disney (and pre AK/HS) the first thing I remember about Disney is seeing on tv one time (shows how long ago because it was black and white) "It's a small world" and longing to go there :) It's stuck ever since :pgig:

I love it ...bit my DD7 prefers Test Track ! :(
My Welsh DH threatened to boycott it because he reckened there wasn't a welsh figure in it .......however, we've since discovered that its actually up high above you, as you first enter the ride - so luckily a rather nasty diplomatic incident has now been avoided. :)
My dad loves it always one of the first few rides we have to do much to mom  hate and the other one we have to do is states of presidents :erm:

call me a big kid I was 35 when i first went on it and loved it( first trip to the mouse) parents hated flying sad. This year trip 3 and will be back on it DS 16 said he is not going on so i keep whistling the tune to annoy him, and play the ride on UTube.
Agree with a good place to cool down on hot days, but for me Personallyl and most will disagree is the paddle steamer over watching all the little ones face when they see the castle for the first time, the excitment on there faces are priceless, so all the rides are good and differant in every way, and every will have ther own favorite but this is mine.

If my DH or DS are 'acting up' I threaten them with Small World - if it closed I would have no leverage ;)

We love this ride - it brings back memories of our first trip to DLP when our son insisted we go on it everyday as he loved it. He called it 'the dollies' ride. I get a lump in my throat every time I step into that boat.

this was my first ever ride, in Disneyland Anaheim, back in the days when you got colour-coded tickets for different category of ride.
It is still one of my favourites.

Must admit...... MK wouldnt be the same without it! Its outdated, cheesy and really rather lame but still holds a special place in my heart as one of the first rides I did at MK with my parents and little brother.
I bet eveyone who has clicked into this thread now has the tune running around in their head!

Yes I too now have the tune in my head!
I have to say though that ride scared me! The combination of the high pitched singing and lots of little doll things freaked me out  Couldn't not go on it though as it is true Disney. Don't think I'll go on it this time, it's too freaky! (Maybe I'm slightly disturbed  !!!)
We love it and let's face it that's what Disney is all about - Being a kid, be it young or old

Not only do I have the tune in myhead now but will spend the rest of the day saying 'Dosvidanja' to everyone.....dont know about anyone else but last time we went on we all decided to pick one the the 'goodbyes' and use it for the rest of the holiday. We all picked Russian.......so Dosvidanja for now... :wavey:
I love it, one of my favorite rides at Disney! That, and Carousel of Progress. For me they are true Disney magic, not fast or scary, just fun things we can all do together.
I love it! It's pure Disney magic! :D
