Has anyone bought any out there? Are they cheaper? Do they make them quickly? (I have a strong perscription)

Just and idea :spin:

Thanx :wavey:

Some prescriptions can be done the same day but they usu tell you it'll take a week or so. Costs vary depending on the frames, progressive, tint, etc. I paid $300.

I broke my glasses the first day of one of our trips - we were down at St Pete Beach and got in touch with the Virgin rep who recommended Lenscrafters.

Visited them . . . and an hour later I had a brand spanking new pair of designer glasses, half the price I would have paid over here. Over here my glasses always take a minimum of a week to be made (I have a funny old prescription).

I was SO relieved - am blind as a bat without them!

I never took my prescription with me on those days (do now, just in case ;) ) and the simply put my glasses (both bits :o: ) into a machine which read the script :thumbs-up

so have me and my fiance (getting married out there at the end of april.

http://www.lenscrafters.com have prices but i reckon you can get cheaper from walmart and they can do the lenses for you while you wait.
I was looking at frames when i got my eyes tested and they were coming in at around £150 for the nice designer ones so to pay $300 for the full glasses is a pretty good deal to me! plus some may have buy one get one half price etc.

I know this sounds stupid but....is the AAA you mentioned above the same as the UK's AA?
