Royal Pacific upgrade?

Has anyone upgraded on the day? If so what are the best ways to go about it and the cheapest. We have a water view standard room booked in June for 1 night. I have seen they have a new kids suite where the kids room is seperate from yours. To upgrade just now would cost us approx £90 but would i get a better rate upgrading on check in providing the kids suite was available?

We upgraded from Garden View to Club Level at the desk. the cost was the same as if we'd booked Club initially - $100 per night (although we later had it comped)

normally its the same price as if you had booked up earlier so if you definatly want a kids suite and they dont do many my advice would be to book asap.
