Hoping to stay in BCV for a few nights in November 09. I have found someone who has AKV and will rent me some points. I will stay two nights there and hoping to get some points at the 11 month window for BCV.

However, they seem to be scarce and I am now toying of putting BWV into the equation as they seem to be more plentiful.

Just wondering how BCV and BWV compare. How are they location wise.

They are right next door to aech other. The room we had at the Boardwalk was literally yards from the yacht and beach (I am not sure if it was the yacht end or the beach end).

The Y&B is slightly closer to Epcot, but the boardwalk is closer to MGM, there really isn't a lot in it.

BCV has a fancier pool area, the pool at the BWV is just a normal pool.

Foodwise, neither is brilliant for counter service. There is beaches and cream at the BCV, and there are stalls on the boardwalk, or you can walk to the Dolphin which is what we did one evening and ate at Picabu.

I havent stayed at BCV but we throughly enjoyed our stay at the BWV - I couldn't fault it.

I've stayed at the BCV which are fab. My guess as to why they may have sold out quicker is because of storm-a-long bay that you can use at the Yacht and Beach club, also I think there are less villas at the BCV compared to the BWVs. I've been told both places are very much the same and the location is great for both they are just on opposite sides of a small lake :).

We haven't stayed at either..yet!:thumbs-up But we have booked a few nights at the BCV as well as our home resort SSR in Dec.

:thumbs-upThey both look absolutely lovely and as Bev says they are right next door to each other so the location is pretty much the same. You will be able to walk to Epcot as well as DHS which is a huge bonus.

We decided to go for BCV as I think the kids will really love Stormalong Bay.:spin:

We've stayed in both and prefer the BCV for the pool alone. It's more than a pool and our two would happily spend all day there without even going near a park. The resort also seemed to have more atmosphere than BVW but I am sure you'll have great time which ever one you stay at.

BCV is far better than BWV!

I prefer BCV for the layout and parking. Some of the rooms at BWV can be a long walk down corridors and the parking can sometimes be difficult unless you valet.

Hi,

Don't know if it is any help, but I found this website the other day which has a good selection of photos for the DVC resort rooms on it.

At least it would give you an idea of the decor and there are pics of the pools too. I find choosing where to stay harder then buying a house!!!

Good luck :wavey:

We stayed at BCV in November and would stay there again in a heartbeat. The pool alone wins it for us over BWV.

Location wise they are just across teh lake from each other and very near to Epcot INternational Gateway.

BWV just doesn't really appeal to me, but it's a matter of personal choice. We ate at Spoodles there one night and had a wander along the Boardwalk which was nice, but I'm just not that bothered about staying there.

I can't comment on the BWV as we haven't stayed there but we have stayed at the BCV and will difintiely be going back. As Treacle44 said, it's worth it for the pool alone :thumbs-up

I have read some negative reports of the views from the Beach club villas and would be interested to hear from those of you who have stayed there what the view from the balcony is like?

The 'unofficial guide' says there is lots of traffic noise from many of the rooms?? with views of the parking lots and roads? :confused2

The review has always put me off staying there

I am a very light sleeper and did not have any trouble with traffic noise, I really can't see how anyone has had trouble with it.

Here is a photo of the BCV's pool, if you look towards the right is the BCV's carpark, it is not busy and it is hidden by a lot of shrubbery which would take some of the sound away too. It is far enough back from the road outside for it not to cause a disturbance but this road is pretty quiet too.
