How much could I expect to buy one out there and what saving would I make on Uk prices?

Assuming I can use it in the UK !

Hi - you will generally pay the same price no matter where you shop. You may find somewhere selling them $10-$20 cheaper but for peace of mind I would buy from the Apple Store, there is one in the Florida mall and another at the Mall at Millenia. The official prices at this moment are: 8GB - $299 (£199 here), 16GB - $399 (£269 here) and the 32GB $499 (£329 here) you will have to factor in sales tax too, having said that you will save yourself quite a bit of money and you will have no problems with them working over here. For my money I would go for the 32GB :wavey:

If you buy in the Apple Store over there, do Apple UK help you if there is a problem?

On our last trip in March this year DH bought one at the Apple Store in the Florida Mall. He bought a 16 gb one and a case for it. It came out on the visa at £233 for the two!

He's like a kid with a new toy!!! All he ever does is have his head in the thing. Must admit it is good!

Its a fab toy - DS bought a 16GB recently off ebay cos he wanted it before a trip next month, One complaint - I cant get it to talk to our wireless router, but I'm guessing its the router thats the problem not the I Pod Touch.

My DH brought one this Feb when we went and he brought by youngest DD an Ipod Shuffle and yes they both work over here no problems. Not sure what the total price was for both but I know he made a great saving :thumbs-up

Check out the prices at Dixons Tax Free at the airport they are selling them for £280 for the 32Gb, £228.94 for the 16Gb and £169.36 for the 8Gb. You can ring them before you go to book one as well. Check out the website http://www.dixonstaxfree.co.uk/
