Availability of DS's

Anyone been out in the last couple of weeks buying a DS?

Are they now more readily available than around Xmas time or am i going to struggle to find one (or 2 depending on DS's saving!!!)?

I fancied getting one but Virgin Megastore had none in stock a few weeks ago, can't help with anywhere else as we didn't have time to shop around.

i know my parents both treated themselves to one a few weeks ago from Argos if that helps !!!!

easy, dont go to the big stores, go to the smaller game shops, because they are smaller parents dont go to them that often, here i have done half the work for you, pick up the phone to these places.

I assume you want to buy one in the states? we already had the DS but bought games from a GameStation type shop in the florida mall.

I see Target have them in, and you can check stock levels before you travel.

I got one from Super Target a few weeks ago - good selection of colours as well. Walmart on the US27 was hit and miss some days they had them other days not.

Had no bother getting one in Walmart in early December, the one on Turkey Lake road (running behind I Drive). They had loads every time we went in.

Apart from the black, white, pink and silver you can get here what other colours do they come in - I think I've heard someone mention blue? and red?

Just had my weekly e-mail from Walmart. They have DS at $129.88 for the DS alone and special "bundles" including game etc for $147.88.

you can get red in states my mum got one in new york in january and had trouble getting it

You can get them in Crimson and Black (red and black) and Cobalt blue and black in the US as well as the usual colours!

I have a Crimson one that my BIL got me while he was in iraq and it came with a black and red case which makes it look like its a wee filofax in my handbag (so I don't look too much like a big kid :blush: ;)

We are in Florida at the moment,got twoin Walmart. I checked availability online before we left. Back from the Florida mall today and GameStop had them in stock.

Just landed home yesterday :cry: they had them in target $130 pink, white, blue, red, black. Walmart were out of stock

:D Am I the only person who saw the subject line & wondered why someone was wondering where to get (dear/darling) sons? ;) OK, so after the first split second I did realise OP meant Nintendo, but for just as second I had that bewildered look before the penny dropped (yeah, I know we have the euro in Ireland now, but before the cent dropped doesn't have the same ring to it :pgig: )

Might get myself a DS (the Nintendo type ;) ) fancy the red, I love playing with nieces Brain Training.
