My son wants to buy a PSP while we're away. I've done a bit of research and it seems that UK games will work on a US system but i wondered if anyone has any first hand experience of this.

I bought a US PSP when they first came out. The games run fine as they are not region specific the only thing you will not be able to do is play UK movies. I think the movie region encoding is still in place but could be wrong.

When we went in 2006 my DS saved all his xmas and birthday money so that he could buy games for his PSP as they are so much cheaper over there he had no trouble playing them at all.
We brought our DS a PSP a couple of years ago and he had no problems playing the games he brought here. The only thing that we cannot play is the UK movies, we have ordered a few on the internet, but must admit he's not fussed about watching movies on it. :d:

my sons bought theirs out there a few years ago and the games are multiregional but you cant play the uk movies on a us psp, but you can always buy the movies there too.

Play the movies off your memory stick (provided you had a 1gb+ stick) after converting them from DVD and there are no problems.
