But can I just point out that the prices are the same as brochure 8 prices. If you know someone who sells avon and you spend the same amount of money with them at least they will earn some commission, while the internet just provides avon with more cash.

True - but i've asked all my friends and family - the only Avon rep I know lives over 50 miles away so the p+p would be extra. :cry:

Thanks for that, bought a face mask and some aftersun in preperation for my hols. I don't know anyone that does Avon so free p&p is a bonus too.

How does skin so soft keep you mozzie free?

My MIL is a mozzie magnet so this may be an idea for her upcoming birthday.

I'm about to buy some Skin so soft Fresh too, for the mozzie reason. What does it smell like? What I mean really as it is hard to describe a smell(! :grin: ), would it not be possible to use normal perfume after that?

Sorry to put a dampener on SSS but it didn't work for me. Got bitten to death a couple of years ago whilst using it.

I've been Avon Lady for years ;)
It's the Dry Spray oil or Bath oil that is meant to help with mozzie
Over the years SSS spray oil has changed,Old name was Woodland fresh. I don't think it's as strong smelling now and it's not so oily. I,ve used older spray and it's worked for me.
It's only the Soft and Fresh, the one in the blue/green colour bottles.
and again only the oil spray or bath oil that are meant to help, some people.
I've only a handful of customers now and I don't sell enough to get commission any more, haven't for years. Avon's changed so much.

about SSS helping ward off mozzies

We have had reports from Representatives and their customers that Avon Skin So Soft Soft & Fresh (originally Woodland Fresh) fragrance Bath Oil and Dry Body Spray acts as an effective insect repellent.

Our Quality Control Department advise that it is the aroma of the product that has this effect. Citronella is in the perfume and as fragrance oils are 'propriety compositions' and the property of the vendor, due to vendor confidentiality, we list this ingredient as Parfum. However this product is marketed and sold by us as a bath preparation only. We would not recommend any Skin So Soft product for any other use. Skin So Soft products in any other fragrance do not contain the same ingredients as Soft & Fresh.
