Hi Guys,
Going in a couple of weeks YEEHAAAAA :D :D
And am looking to buy a small camera i can hang round my neck, for ease of use. I want to get one with decent picture quality.
can any fellow dibbers recomend one ?. i want to spend around £100.
Also should i wait till duty free before the flight, want the camera before i go so i can keep a trip diary etc
many thanks
Sorry if this is in the wrong section
My DS is off to Australia tomorrow and needed a camera.
Having been too slow off the mark to get the Olympus 790mu from Tesco at £84.95 I went instead for the Fuji 920. Again in Tesco's it was on a yellow flyer at £79.95. However, on the shelf it was £69.97.
It doesn't come with a case or memory card but I've just seen on hotukdeals that Morrisons have a Sandisk 2g card for £7.99 (with micro adapters too so you can use it in a mobile also). OK, you can get them on Amazon chaeper but by the time you add the postage their's not much in it.
I would definitely suggest buying before you go so that you can get used to it.
Happy shooting

I've got a Sony Cybershot and it's good for me - point and click. DH has an all-singing, all-dancing Canon thingy but it's far too complicated for a mere female:)

My son bought a Fuji S5700 camera a few weeks ago from Play.com, it can take some very good quality pictures and has had very good independent reviews. Details are HERE (http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/3342932/Fuji-Finepix-S5700-7-1-Megapixel-Digital-Camera/Product.html).
Don't forget, if you go through Quidco (http://www.quidco.com/) you can get 4% cashback ;)
I also found that buying consumables online here was cheaper than at Duty-Free or in Florida, I used 7-DayShop (again go through Quidco for 2% cashback)

Another vote for the Fuji S5700! It's a fabulous camera and very easy to use! My last couple of cameras have all been Fujis and i have been so impressed with them i wouldn't want to try any other make now!
Here are a few firework pictures i took at Epcot this year! I was so pleased with the results and would highly recommend the S5700 to anyone!

We`ve got a Cannon Ixus, I find it really user friendly as in point & press.
What more can I ask for !!!!

I've got a Casio Exilim, Samsung D75 and Kodak C653, the Kodak is my favourite and has the best picture quality but a slow shutter speed!! No good if you want to do one after the other firework's pics but a basic point and shoot they're all ok

WOW, great pictures Vabeth, I would be really pleased if I got results as good as those from my Canon Digital SLR.
