As america is so cheap for clothing etc, i was after to getting some new Golf Shoes and shirts. Where is the best place to get them from?
I had a look on Edwin Watts website and they do not look as cheap as the Uk, Would the Nike outlet do cheaper golf clothes/shoes or is there somewhere else you could suggest
Thanks in advance for your help
Matt
DH bought a Adidas Climacool polo shirt from one of the outlets and he paid about $20 for it, he wishes he had bought a few more.

We always buy my FIL golf shoes as they are so much cheaper. We have bought them from Nike and Adidas before. Have a look at the Premium Outlets and the LBV Outlets.
My best advice if you're looking for golf shirts would be... Don't do it, they're a fashion disaster :pgig: :pgig:
Just wear a simple polo shirt, Lacoste or Ralph Lauren. Much better. :thumbs-up

Any of the Reebok outlet stores stock the Greg Norman range of shirts. DH got loads of golf shirts last year for silly prices. They had shirts for $60 on buy one get one free offer plus $10 off if you spend more than $75. He wasn't looking for golf shoes, so I can't really comment on the relative price of those.

We went to Dillards in the Florida Mall last year and picked up 4 Tommy Hilfiger polo shirts on sale for $48, top bargain without having to put up with loud colours.

Thanks for the replies. Not all golf shirts are like "no dad style" there are a bit more light weighted than a normal polo plus it makes me play better!!!!!
Ralph Lauren shirts are very nice and will be paying a visit to there outlet shop, without doubt.

I'm not the best with directions but I got my golf shoes from the Nike shop at......
If you are travelling west along the 192 go past the big orange and a bit further down is a small estate on your right hand side with the Nike retail store,a ticket master type shop and a subway amongst a few others.
They had about a dozen pairs in there along with the "proper" golf shirts you are talking about ;) , the T Woods range and huge supply of polo shirts :thumbs-up

I bought some golf shirts in Walmart last summer. They are made with 'moisture wicking yarns' so they keep you dry even in the heat of Orlando, only $17.
On the same theme Izod do shorts, shirts, hats, everything in the same material at very reasonable prices.

UK golf equipment prices have become a lot closer to the US prices after all these years, thank goodness. However you can still save a bit and the advice people have given here is good - why pay £60-70 for a Ralph Lauren polo shirt when you can get two shirts for the same price in Dollars. Edwin Watts are great shops and you will be hard pressed to find the kind of selection of golf gear under one roof over here. I see they are selling Adidas Tour 360 II Shoes (2008 model) for $190 - so £95 a pair which is still a decent saving compared to buying in the UK.
