Best time of day for an airboat tour?

The title says it all really.

We would like to to book a private tour with Boggy Creek but can't decide when would be best, morning, afternoon (2-5) or evening (if they even do it)? We wouldn't do night because that would be pushing the gf too far :-)

Also can someone confirm that the private tour is better, we have heard its a smaller lighter boat and you get to see more wildlife? Also there is only two of us so would it be weird, they would need to be friendly I guess?!

I believe the morning is the best time to go, as the wildlife is more active before it gets too hot.

We just booked the usual tour (not a private tour) and it was really good. The only 'bad' thing is that it is over too soon. :spin: :spin:

We did a private tour at Boggy Creek in the morning, and the kids loved it over everything we did at the parks! Yes you do get to see more, and go to a few places the big boats can't get too. A couple of tips, don’t wear anything light colored, as you will get splattered by the spray, and wear some sun glasses for when the pilot opens up the throttle!

awww se now your putting me off. I fancy doing this as I love wildlife but I hate and i mean HATE bugs.

This is a really good laugh to do and gets a big thums up from me. We've done it a few times and definitely wouldn't choose to do the afternoon as the wildlife all seems to slink off somewhere for a good snooze. Morning is best IMHO.

We saw only the odd dragonfly or something (but quite big), but they certainly woulldn't do you any harm.
