My DH had his birthday while we were in florida. We decided to do something special but actually ended up doing a few things!

We went on an air balloon ride, which was great and really enjoyed the experience. Watched the sunrising while floating over the theme parks and orlando area.

We also stayed the night of his birthday at Contemporary Resort and had a special meal at California Grill and went back to our room and watched the fireworks from out balcony over a bottle of wine. Was very romantic and loved both the Contemporary and California Grill and would love to do both again.

We also did Keys to the Kingdom Tour at Magic Kingdom, which was for adults only. This was well worth the money and because we enjoyed it so much are going to do one at Epcot on our next trip.

Whatever you decide have a great time. Have a look at my trip report for more details.

What about Discovery Cove and booking the birthday package(definatly worth it) and you could also book your very own cabana and he could get pampered all day.

I tood my Dad to Daytona for the Richard Petty Driving Experience. He absolutely loved it! It was a great day over by the beach and there were other things for the rest of the family to do (Daytona USA) and everyone really enjoyed the day. A great option!

(I've done the qualifying twice and can't wait to do it again!!)
