Anyone been to this restaurant in Times Square? How was the theming and food? Good fun for an 11 year old or too tacky?

Thanks, Peter

We went on our first day in NYC. The food is standard burgers etc and not that exciting not over great tasting but fun. We went at 3 in the afternoon it wasn't busy. There is a simulator ride to Mars then you enter the cafe. You are charged a few dollar for the ride. The theming is quite good, but not quiet Disney standard. As adults we found the experience fun but the food wasn't that good. You leave via a teleport booth. Flashing light here would be careful if any of the kids have absence seizures.

I would say an average 11 year old would enjoy it. The whole place is really aimed at kids. The portions are large and it is filling.

Just to add. There are charaters walking around, the costumes are good but again not up to Disney's standard. They are willing to have photos taken. If you have seen the DVD of Music and lyrics staring Hugh Grant there is a short snatch where he goes to a children's party there in the deleted scenes. It might give you an idea.

Yup, food is fine, theming not quite up to Disney (but who is?!) but still lots of fun. My kids were 14, 11 and 8 and all three thought it was fun. :)

I would say no way. We went here with our two aged 12 and 10 in Feb. It was so tacky and the food and service was terrible.

OK, some mixed opinions. Thanks for your honest responses. Think I'll take a quick look inside before deciding.
